Beer Review: Cigar City’s Florida Cracker

Cigar City is my favorite Florida brewery.
There, I said it.
The sunshine state is fast becoming a beer lover’s paradise, boasting fine breweries from north to south. Cigar City Brewery’s remarkable craftsmanship and cool, innovative approach (Crowlers, anyone?) sets them ahead of the crowd.

Florida Cracker is a white ale brewed with curacao orange peel, unmalted wheat and coriander. The brew pours a cloudy straw-gold, with a billowing white pillow head, which clings to the sides of the glass, and hangs around for awhile. Traditional Witbier aromas include sweet wheat, light lemon, coriander, and clove. The flavor starts sweet and lemony and finishes with a tangy sharpness, savory toasted grain and spicy character
